FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (NAVAC) Wilderness Search and Rescue Team receives donation
APRIL 05, 2004 The NAVAC Wilderness Search and Rescue Team of Onondaga County (WSAR) has been awarded a grant from the US smokeless Tobacco Company. The team recently accepted delivery of a six wheel John Deere “Gator”. This Four wheel Drive all terrain vehicle will enable the team to vastly improve response time in the field allowing the team to move people and resources to remote locations very quickly. The Gator will also allow team members to transport the subject safely, and quickly back to civilization. WSAR officially placed the new vehicle in service on March 31, 2004 at NAVAC headquarters 603 North Main Street, North Syracuse. Please visit our updated website www.WSAR.Org for more details.
